The environment and climate protection are important to us. In order to counteract climate change, we are making a significant contribution to environmental protection and promoting the switch to renewable energies. We are proud to save almost 40 tons of CO 2 to be saved.
Since the purchase of the first fully electric car in 2017, Lautenschläger has been focusing on electromobility. For the past 5 years, only fully electric cars have been purchased, so that the car fleet is now almost completely electric. The electricity for the vehicles is produced in a photovoltaic system on the roof of our company building and therefore comes from 100% renewable sources.
The next steps are already planned: With the growing electric fleet, the demand for electricity at our site in Cologne is also increasing – additional solar technology on roof areas that are still available should cover this demand. We are also following developments in electrified commercial vehicles and vans with great interest. We assume that we will soon be able to use the first electric service vehicles.
