The inventor of steam sterilization
The world’s first steam sterilizer for dressings was designed and built by Mathias Lautenschläger in 1887, a milestone in the asepsis of wound care and the basis for the founding of the Lautenschläger company a year later.
Since then, F. & M. Lautenschläger has been one of the leading providers in the field of steam sterilization, disinfection and hygiene. Innovative and high-quality technology in combination with excellent service and intensive consultation is the basis for the outstanding reputation that products and companies enjoy. Lautenschläger appliances are characterized by their durability, cost-effectiveness, maximum safety and highest possible availability.
