Principles of data processing

Thank you for your interest in working for our company. The protection of your personal data is important to us. In the following, we will inform you about how we process your data as part of the application process.

Purposes and legal bases of processing

We process your personal data exclusively for the purpose of carrying out the application process.

The legal bases for this are:

  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (initiation of an employment relationship)
  • § Section 26 (1) BDSG (data processing for the purposes of the employment relationship)
  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO (consent – e.g. for longer storage)

What categories of personal data do we process?

We process the following types of data in particular:

  • Master data (name, address, contact details)
  • Application documents (cover letter, CV, certificates etc.)
  • Communication data (e.g. e-mail traffic, conversation notes)
  • if applicable, special categories of personal data pursuant to Art. 9 (1) DSGVO (e.g. health data – only with express consent).

To which recipients is the data forwarded?

Within our company, only those persons who are involved in the selection process will have access to your data. Your data will not be passed on to third parties unless you have given your consent or there is a legal obligation to do so.

How long do we store your data?

Your data will be stored for the duration of the application process. After completion of the procedure, your data will be deleted no later than 6 months after a rejection has been sent, unless you have expressly consented to longer storage (e.g. for a talent pool).

If you are hired, we will transfer your application documents to your personnel file and inform you of this separately.

Is the provision of your data voluntary?

The provision of your personal data is voluntary. Unfortunately, we cannot process your application without this data and therefore cannot consider it.

Your rights

You have the following rights:

  • Information about your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Correction of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Deletion of your data, provided there are no retention obligations to the contrary (Art. 17 DSGVO)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to the processing of your data (Art. 21 DSGVO)
  • Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) DSGVO)
